if you haven notice, prices of oil has increased from $30+ per barrel last year to $65 per barrel this year. Since electricity is generated from oil, and almost everything depends on electricity for production, prices will definitely go up.

do you expect LHL to single-handedly stop oil prices from rising? Laughing

I believe they are tackling too many far-fetched development ideas and technically, I doubt he can repeat his father's feat.

He should actually improve situation/crisis-dealing department with emergency issues, improving our competitiveness against change... instead of 'developing and moulding the country in the tooooo far future'.

Our response to critical issues should be alarming better as compared to previous records..

A person's achievement should be based on the effectiveness they handle problems... and we've yet to face a major crisis where he'll be tested...

Anyway, it's all talk and no walk.

Funny that air ticket price has gone down over the years. Air planes like buses, and electric plants rely on petrol as a fuel source. It is plain simple that our gov is protecting the domestic public transportation companies, making them uncreative and only knowing to increase prices to offset the rising petrol price.

I expect LHL to sack his wife, disband Temasek group and free up all the public transportation industry to competitions. That he can do single-handedly.
