A HDB flat is part of the 30 year wage slavery program that you are strongly encourage to participate.

SevenEleven SG

And after 30 years, they enblock your house and sell you another so that you have to pay for another 30 years.

WTF Twisted Evil

haha.. is really really funny how sg gov do their way.. I remember that there was a old flat that was opposite me that they go and upgrade after the General election and was pulled down a few years later.. it is totally a waste of money on how the government will spent on their budget. What for they will upgrade those people house and pull them down.. the question of the flat is kempas road flat.. I know that they need to upgrade for old people living in those flats.. but less then 5 years later have to pull down.. Where do those people goes?? some went to old rental flats i heard.. Sorry there is no facts that i can published for this..

They have upgrade the toilets the lift in that estate so that every floors have a lift and the toilets too have metal bars.. It is only for less than 2 years when the whole upgrading project completed that they have to move to a new housing estate.. Isn't it a better way to spent those money??

Geran76,

Maybe you should go and find out who got the contracts? The people who got the contracts are they related to anyone?

geran76 SG

erm.. i did try.. but in the website below never state the area that i am staying have been upgrade..

but velvently, i remember that there is upgrade done for blk 10-12 in kempas road.. haha. i dunno whether the gov is covering it up or the information cannot been found.. anyway i believe it is done at 2001 ~ 2003 and soon after 2004 the rental flats have to been asked to been moved to en bloc or relocated..

About a gal,

You can accumulate sufficient CPF and pay for the HDB flat upfront.
