If not..we will just go into anarchy and every province is gonna declare independance and the great china will become like whats left of Russia.
robertteh SG Choosing between Nathn and the rest is not difficult nor is it the main issue at this president "election" or any future elections. Is it world-class to elect by gerrymandering and manipulations as is seen happening here? Is an election still an election. Is our system of throwing up the world-class candidates ? Can we call voting voting, election election? We are told that we are a small population with only a few talents. If this is true, then must citizens be subjected to limiting choices only to a even less choices and being given only those pre-chosen by the power that be. Are the few available objective and capable presidential candidates not our assets and be welcome to come forward to serve the country. It seems like good potential candidates will have to be accepted by the power as people without threats before they can even have a chance to stand for election. Whoever pre-chosen will also be chosen with all potential demolished. All our politicians need to grow up and be more accommodative and tolerant of other potential leaders. If we cannot change the present culture or kiasuism can we still tell the world we have election or properly elected leaders or president? Do we call such elected representatives world-class?
