More talks only but no actions to see positive actions being taken to upgrade our technologies' applications by all local businesses. Where are the scholars ? What are they doing?

Every around the world (korea, england, US and even india and china), there are many tech start-up mushroomed from the universities. These startup are inspired to be the next Intel or Microsoft in 10 to 20 years time.

But sad to say, singapore tech start-up from NUS and NTU can really countable. In addition, singapore always have a bad hibit when we study statistic: we empharise Ratio. But in glogalisation, what we really need is to produce Best Qualities in Large Large Quantities to beat the CHEAP & GOOD.

those scholars studying overseas are comtemplating whether to return,those in the system are too blinded by the $$$$millions in their heads,those who are earning less than peanuts are monkeying around trying to keep their heads above water!The so called local talents are good in paper chase while they are in school, when come to solving problems in actual world…...........

When a vision becomes a reality - PAP will paint the town red about it.

But when a vision became a huge myopia - Government shuts up the press.

If PAP has so much wonderful visions then why the hell are we citizens paying so dearly to stay alive?

Surely a rich and well-envisioned economy should translate into sound investments that result in better welfare and cheaper living costs for the people. NOT in our country!. Government has been depending on us FOR SO LONG to finance their investments, some reckless ones, with our CPF, COE, ERP, overpriced HDB apartments, contributions etc...

PAP's so-called visions are nothing but flops here and there.

Why want us to have babies now when we were told to stop at two in the 70s? You call this a visionary Government?

Why build the marina barrage now, they call it a vision in the ground breaking ceremony, when we should have built the barrage 30 years ago! Afterall we were having water problems from day one didnt we..... and floods in the 70s and 80s ?.

Even the merger with Malaysia was nothing but a huge dark and foolish vision by Singapore's Dear Leader.

Can tell you one reason...the terms and conditions are just not attractive. All royalties arising from any invention or book that I produce belongs to the institution...so why should I bother? I'd rather take it overseas...

Many of the talents are now retired into insignificance and many of them have tried and failed in their own businesses. That is the state of our presumptuous talents in Singapore promoted skyhigh by our self-serving meritocracy system.
