Whatever design the "Barrier" may take, it will always be a danger to users who DO NOT or CANNOT learn to obey the intentions of any Authority.

To minimise the liability in enforcing their intention, LTA could have minimise the danger to others.

Why is the "Barrier" painted GREY ?

Was it to blend the "Barrier" into the darkness, much like the grey paint on a Navy ship that allows it to hide in the dark or blend into the horizon ?

If the "Barrier" is to serve as an obstacle, it should be brightly painted or made more obvious.

If the "Barrier" is to serve as a deterrent and trap, then LTA had been very effective in its attempt to hit those who abuse all the earlier warnings not to ride across the pedestrian bridge - (Is this a Pedestrian Bridge, or simply a Connecting Bridge for all users ?)

i think its green so that it would fit in with the colour scheme of the rest of the structure which would then fit into the idea of SG as a garden city

Anyway... Bef a green coat is made, a initally white coating has to be applied

yea...what is next?

decorate the traffic lights at all junctions with leaves and flowers? why not propose the following:

for all LED indicators
change red for "stop" to dark green for "stop"
change green for "proceed" to light green for "proceed"

so when accident happens...blame it on the idiot who beats the traffic light...

LTA ~ ai zai mai chap (want to know but dun care) even it a problem known, they dun care how it was to be rectify or was it rectify at all.
things happen, start pointing because they know who did wat but not themself.

it happen all in 1st MRT stage 1 start, NEL, CCL, all road works.

out of point... SG really no talent? for 10 over year LTA been doing MRT projects and today LTA still paid peanuts to FT?

all the amg mo are paid 22k and above with housing? some indian FT are paid that much as well and a few are getting more than that. one of them who had just resign recently are getting about 35k to 40k. but again they are not to made known to the public.

b4 NEL start, SBS or now SMART say they are losing $$$ but now? hazi...

back to topic, LTA may want to build ERP on overhead bridges and make bicycle install IU on it. to them that will solve the problems just like CTE. (CTE still jam now)

check back the PICTURE LAH....there is a BIG BLUE sign on the right say NO riding on the bridge...its the rider's fault. Very Happy

but if the cyclist was riding casually and in a relax manner and hit the device..would the rider be badly injured? The walkway is for walking..if cyclist swants to use it, please use it with consideration. Its not a Tour de France event.
