The NKF Saga and impromptu “peanuts”
comments revealed a serious flaw in our society. People in high
places are showing signs of being detached from the masses. With
their income growing exponentially and those of the masses
remaining static or decreasing, I am worried about the eventual
negative impact with dire consequences on one of the key pillars of
our country, i.e. our social cohesion which was built painstakingly
over the years by embracing justice and equality. Somehow we need
to put Humpty Dumpty back together again to restore our confidence
as a unique nation.
