This first taste of "People Power" by Singaporeans ,with its
overwhelming disgust towards the attitude of the CEO, the Board of
Directors and the Patron of NKF, has forced them to step down from
their ivory tower and resign.
This first taste will hopefully embolden Singaporeans to take a
more active and decisive positions towards Government policies that
similarly disgust their common sense of fairness, justice and
morality.
This was the objective of SDP CSJ in his recent public lecture, in
which he promoted the concept of "Peaceful and Non-violent
protests" amongst Singaporeans so as to encourage everyone to be
more pro-active in the politics of Singapore.
We should all learn to be more responsible for our own sake, and
for the political future and well being of Singapore, and not leave
it as the exclusive responsibility and privilege of the Government
or the Ruling Party.
