I think a fare increase is unjustified, because, although fuel
costs have risen since the last increase, profits are still very
healthy. Fare increases should be tied to the transport companies'
profits, and the current state of the economy and unemployment
level, and hence rising costs should not be a justification.
Instead of blaming rising fuel costs, the transport companies
should look at ways to cut costs in other areas, in which they seem
to have done well, looking at the profits.
Besides, I'm only a poor NSF using the standard adult EZ-link card.
Booking in to camp already costs me almost $3. A fare increase
would be quite intolerable.
