Cathay??? Never had good impression by their strikes

Qantas??? Are you sure this survey is accurate? I have the worst impression of them. Malaysian and Thai Airways have WAY better service than they do. As well, I can’t believe they beat Emirates.

This has nothing to do with an airline's internal management of staff. Laughing

ditzy SG

Qantas get second, something is wrong here. Laughing Do they offer a choice of cutlery?

sbst275 SG

Though it has nothing to do, it affects the co's impression

ditzy SG

The results are based on travellers surveys and opinions, not from people doing an internal audit of the affected company. Laughing

sbst275 SG

Haiz... Yes, but it affects the co's impression by the public...

ditzy SG

From http://www.airlinequality.com/news/020605-cathay.htm

Worldwide survey interviews totalled a massive 12,334,283 respondents - an increase of 1.5 million interviews on the 2004 result, with over 94 different passenger nationalities participating in the survey.

Dunno, you read and tell me. Laughing

sbst275 SG

What you have stated here is just one of the many surveys done for the airline industry. So ST is not wrong to say SIA is the number 1 airline.

I believe the above poll is mainly focusing on budget travellers, so naturally price will be a big factor. If you would to read polls done based on business travellers, SIA will be top of the list. And if you read polls that focus on inflight entertainment, service, free beverages, comfort etc, SIA will proably be rank in the top 1 or 2 as well.
