Absolutely so, and no amount of personal rhetorics or presumption
is going to change this important and neglected truth.

So you see, the old fellow had already given up helping

paying his big salary and he jolly well look after our interests

We are the reason on why he keeps on earning a million dollar
salary, despite the fact that his family and himself are already
multi-millionaires.
Not only has he become arrogant because of his power and his money,
he has lost his human touch as well. Wouldn't he be our own Emperor
aka Darth Sidious or Palpatine?
Or even Agent Smith from the Matrix trilogy?
