According to ST, LTA is getting a $7.7 million building (3
storey, 10 years lifespan).
And according to their deputy chief executive, the rental for HDB
Building in Jalan Bukit Merah is just 'too expensive'.
Considering $2.03 million to be spent on a temporary car-park (3
years life span) in HV, the $7.7 million building for LTA must be
very, very, very bare and simple.
Or perhaps considering the $7.7 million spent on a LTA building,
the temporary car-park must be very, very, very posh and
grand.
Perhaps just like any car park, the new LTA building is
non-airconditioned, no lift, only staircase and no toilets
too.
I pity LTA employees, their work place could be as bad as a
car-park.
If even LTA find it cheaper to build than to rent the former HDB
Centre, shouldn't HDB evaluate its rental rates? Perhaps HDB find
it wiser to leave it vacant than to rent it out.
