you talking about 1-2 day seminars or exhibitions will draw in crowds but will earn us penny-ante $$$ for the effort, not like well heeled hard core loyal fans that will spend like no tomorrow and come back again & again every year like football fans like F1 fans who will fly down, stay at our hotels eat at our restaurants, buy Football or F1 racing Jersey and accessories, this kind things we should concentrate on.

I'm thinking more abt WWF yes world wrestling federation, see the crowds at the coffeeshop whenever there is wrestling on the telly. both young and old people even some ladies and I noticed especially Malays love to watch wrestling.

If we can somehow buy a stake in WWF, just think we can influence matches to be held here annually like maybe "Christmas BASH", how many die hard wrestling fans from nearby malaysia, indonesia and thailand will come here, and if we get the wrestlers to make guest appearances in orchard road or hard rock cafe or zouk, fans will go nuts.

how much ticketing sales, tourists receipts, advertising dollars we can make and what abt broadcasting rights, now thats what I really call making this place really fun and making tons of money in the process.

And if we do well in ticketing sales I'm sure many other sports organisers like heavy weight boxing would also want to host matches here.

Re-invent Singapore to be a gateway between the West and East.

Send some people to study both Eastern and Western countries. Then provide guided tours of these places, with detailed interesting information, and bring them through Singapore as a "bonus" to their package.

Bring a Chinese tourist to Australia via Singapore, with a dedicated tour guide to cater to the tourist's needs.

huh…Actually im attending some tourism course…for a certificate.This is organised by my school..hahaz if u’ve been following the news,bet u’ll know which school that is=/ Anyway,from what im exposed to during the lessons, actually its not that we lack tourist attraction,i mean relative to neighbouring countries,of course.However,we’re not just any empty shells with nothing but economical trade…our culture is something that attracts people…i never knew how interesting and intriguing Little india or China town etc is…i think one should go back to these areas..not to look around but to appreciate the culture and history behind it…how many actually know the symbols these temples etc held meant?its truely interesting.. hahaz theres creative hotels around too…like hotel 1986?or something like that?not hotel 81…that hotel..is creative in designs and may people of diff nationalities flock over sg just to stay there.. hahaz

Thats very true.But we must be careful not to make it like Chinatown, today, all plastic and lacking in soul.Little India is still untouched.The right level of intervention is enough, Holland Village did not need a campaign to become famous, neither did Bugis Street.

What abt Area D saf training ground. Everyday also got training and live firing.

If we can build a platform for telescopic viewing and charge tourists, or helicopter rides over the training area to have a grand overview of the raging battlefield in progress.

Would that attract many foreign military nuts tourists? Mr. Green
