I kinda feel there's a need to go there, with older generation sooner or later losing their grip, the new generation are kinda complex and more intellectual. I believe it's time we move to free ideas and opinion, street riots and objections declared by the people. I think somehow, this direction could cause more stimulate enthusiasm on creativity, inventiveness and involvement.....

If problems are merely grossed over by good speeches, I foresee big-scale importing of foreigners to replace migrated citizens. Is it not crazy to avoid talking of problems? Will inactions not cause even greater troubles than asking for more accountability and democracy or even the freedom to disagree with policies through peaceful street demonstrations. Laughing

Crazy Monkey, what is so trouble maker about wanting us to be able to voice out our opinions, letting people be given a chance to have more freedom living in Singapore.
And yes, PAP did quite a bit, but that shouldn't deter us to change, i feel personally.
Peaceful demonstration would be great, Singapore is a small country, i think would be easier to control. I just feel there is so little we can talk about with the constant fear around us, rallies make us more commited to society, there can be also rallies for Tsunami waves, abroad political upheaveal, etc etc... Things we are not happy, shouldn't keep inside, it's so unhealthy... this are my 2 cents viewpoint anyway!!
