Ged, ever so eloquent! *applause!* No question about your
postgraduate education there , but sadly, can't say the same for
some dodgy bovine defecation that's been going on here!
If a man goes about looking for a woman solely to fulfill his
creature needs and make up for his shortcomings, he's a sad, sorry
man indeed. In a truly equal and blissful relationship, I believe
BOTH partners have to have their lives in order first before
choosing out of their own free will to come together and be united
in love and commitment. It has to be two happy and whole people
involved, not two people bearing ills and what other problems,
trying to solve their problems by passing it on to a mate.
I certainly would not want to enter into a relationship expecting
my partner to provide for me whilst I idle the time away in
frivolous activities day in, day out. Neither would I want a man
who chooses to marry me for the sole purpose of having his meals
cooked, his laundry done, and someone to bear children for him. I
call those parasitic relationships - like a parasite, one finds the
perfect prey, then latch on to him/her and sucks the lifeblood out
of their partners for their personal benefit.
You call yours a happy marriage, Gazelle? Well, I don't blame you,
for your postgraduate education probably does not teach you
anything about life, and what truly matters.
Before you even consider being didactic, issuing out whatever
delusional pearls of wisdom, remember, you are no sage, you are no
philosopher, and you certainly have not earned the right to speak
like a social commentator. Sometimes, silence is golden but then
again, empty vessels DO make the most noise.
A lot of us Singaporean women are strong, educated and intelligent.
If and when I fall in love, it has to be with a man who is able to
hold his own, and he definitely must have a good head on his
shoulders. I may be assertive but I can also love and respect the
man I choose to live with and out of that love and devotion,
fulfill my wifely duties. I'm sure a lot of other Singaporean women
think like I do... until and unless we meet the man we love, we
shall be unflinching in our quest to keep lesser men like you,
Gazelle, safely out out out of our boundaries.
No wonder you got rejected by that many Singaporean women from all
walks of life. You make me wanna do a Lady Macbeth, with that
famous, 'OUT! OUT! Damn spot!!' act! hahaha!
