would like to know do u ppl think that there are too much charity donations show on TV now, asking for donations? how much is enough for the charity hosting the shows? how much donated money are spent on the artists, staging & rehearsals?

No lah, u know channel 8 nowadays cannot produce much good dramas to slot in the timings, and they know they excel in such charity shows, as seen in asian television awards and also the viewership surveys during such shows. So they decide to do more of these so that they can have a good record of viewership? Mr. Green

Donation/Charity Shows.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe there were 2 or 3 last year. Ren Ci by Channel U, NKF by Channel 8, President Charity Funds, etc

This year?

NKF, NKF Children Funds, President Charity Fund, +4 others at least. (sorry i can't remember, didn't bother to)

What caused the organisers of these shows to come up with the ideas, all at the same time?

The recovery of our economy? Even when our economy was better, Pre-9/11 period, there were also at max 2-3 charity shows.

Is the media trying to tell us that there are more people in need of our money than 5 years ago?

Or did the charities finally got the artistes in MediaCorp to lend them some time?

Just curious.
