I think it is only fair that should a public holiday falls on a
Saturday, which is now considered a non-working day, hence 1-day
holiday should be compensated on the next working day.
This is how the system works over the past century (???) in
Singapore. It is only recently that the govt implement this 5-day
week, like many European countries do. However, I think they may
have overlooked this problem that should a public holiday falls on
a Sat, should it be compensated on the next working day.....
Bear this in mind, now Sat and Sun are equal.. Both are non-working
days.
