Why ppl like to press for receipt at ATM & throw away???

I see a lot of ppl at ATM press for receipt or transaction slip, take a look and then immediately throw it away into the metal bin next to it.
Why they do that?? Its such a waste of paper!!

All those ppl need is just to now how much they have left in their acc.
Just press the option "without receipt", your acc balance will appears on the screen.

some pple also very funny when deposit cash in one of posb's cash deposit.
they r using account book instead of using their posb card. such a waste of time n ink n nvr spare a thought for long queue. Neutral
