Responses from world leaders on our new PM

Why not many world leaders congratulates LHL on becoming the new PM?

I don't see and hear in the news that presidents, PMs, kings from other countries congratulate LHL except from Malaysian PM.

How about Indon pres Megawati, Phillippines pres Arroyo, Thai PM Thaksin, US pres Bush, Aussie PM Howard, etc. Seems they 'bo chap' with LHL becoming our new PM. Mr. Green

LHL is the PM of ASEAN hub u noe .. SG is the hub is important .. without hub, cannot hubbing .. leh .. Mr. Green

Usually our leaders publish the congratulatory messages from world leaders.

no he will probably say something to the effect of:

"Singapore, we, China, enemy, SOuth Korea, offer money, Isreal, very good. Taiwan, protect."

actually not trying to find fault lah ..

just to gauge how other countries welcome our new PM .. surely we do not want to be an isolated country, right ..

imagine if you move to new HDB block and got cold welcome, later got no friends in the neighbour .. you will feel isolated rite? ... then how .. lonely? got problem, no neighbour helps ..

that's why i think important priority for our new PM is to build good rapport and relationship with other world leaders especially neighbouring countries .. make official visits to indon, phillip, japan, thai, south korea, etc. ...

but instead he wants to focus on domestic matters .. may not be right priority .. some more made visit to taiwan .. brought problem with china .. now headache ..

He is trying to find his grounding in the domestic arena. If he can't convince the Singaporean that he can do as good a job, it will be really difiicult for him to extend his reach to the international arena.

you may just have touch on the sore spot there.... the neighbouring country may not have congratulated him because they've never liked him anyway, especially for his arrogance...

they may also have the fear of offending China if they've sent any congratulatory messages whilst the bloke had not settled the 'problem'...

it may also be a sign that they cannot picture him as the Head of a nation.... We're about to get lonely... Mark my words, the day lao lee passes on... We may be faced with tremendous difficulty cos those who enemies of his will come after his LHL... So, fellow Singaporeans... enjoy whatever you can whilst it lasts...
