For people to love government, government needs to love people too.

Unemployed, and people who are more educated and informed will always feel disgruntled with many of the present policies which are based on assumptions of government efficiency and not total efficiency of whole country or economy. They cannot love so easily as long as straight-faced persons are in charge intent to carry on the same policies of the past.

Government has to change as posted in "New Government". Embarassed

I don't understand why reasonable suggestions as given here cannot be looked into. If there cannot be acceded to, let our leaders tell us their problems or better reasons.

Don't you think solving our artificially created high costs of living and doing business are long overdue. It is not a better of comparing with the worse examples whenever there is some queries in this regard. Why do our leaders always selectively compare with other governments' performance. Did other countries pay S$100,000 for a COE? Within Singapore, we can solve our long-standing problems without all these selective comparisons to suit arguments when faced with suggestions or criticisms by the people. The constant justifications and presentations should also be done away with if the new leaders want to involve the people in the next lap. This is just my humble opinion. Rolling Eyes

aiyah....in Singapore, we pay $30000 for 1 years COE, in other countries, u pay $30000 every year for taxes.........

i think we only have ourselves to blame......

but Lee Hsien Loong had ever assured citizens that rules which have not been changed does not mean they will not be reviewed and changed over time......

give him a break.....he has been through the pain of losing his wife...an albino son, cancer, blah lah......i think he is quite outstanding lor...
