Does MP have the right to Park at double-yellow lines?

2004Lancer SG

have u guys noticed MPs parking their personal cars along double-yellow lines within HDB compound service roads just to attend to parties or functions organise by RCs?

what do you think? Is it legal? Is it right? Is it good? Is it healthy? or it is OK?

ditzy SG

Everyone has the right to illegal park their cars, MPs are no exception.

kopiosatu SG

Muahahahahahahaha~

tspg SG

I think :

It is illegal.

It is not right.

It is not good.

It is unhealthy.

But it is ok as long as there is no parking warden around. Twisted Evil

No way! Jun zi fan fa, yu su ming dong zui... Even if the king makes a mistake, he suffers the same fate as a commoner...

In fact should punish double coz they need to be a gd role model for the people...

Rules r rules mah... Ever see govt bend the rules abit? No lor...

Even got warden around, think they don dare summon so... Wait kena fired... Haha... Unless they dun want their job... They confirm jus pretend nev see de...

Only way... Post a pic of the car parked illegally... SEnd to TP... Got hard evidence...

tspg SG

If i were a TP i'll give him a ticket straight away. What can he say? Jus doing my job. Cool

I-like-flings(m) SG

take pic lor... then next time when u kena.. u die die ask them to be fair.. so if u kena then the car in ur pic also must kena lor........... Mr. Green

2004Lancer SG

the problem is whenever got events, mata will be there....and they will be informed that it is MP car and they will also be told to 'jarga' the MP car....stupid right?

i never allow myself to be taught what to do by RC people...i will report these RC people to the Prime Minister's office immediately...

Neighbourhood police post also become more KIASEE nowadays because most police men also join RC ....

think police men should not be allowed to join RC.......interested parties involved in this case....

can anyone guarantee impartiality be played?

think RC and residents will be bolder to voice out their unhappiness if police men are not allowed to join RC......

they even have town council reps inside...like this how to work things out?

HALI SG

heard say they and some RC member, grassroot leader can buy one season ticket and park at every car park they want to in the area, town the whole GRC they stay in leh. where the rest can oni park at the car park they buy for and put coupon at the other???

any1 can comfirm? think no one will. just look out for those ppl maybe you will know.

subzero_baby SG

it's true that grassroot leaders, rc ... they have only 1 season ticket to park around the whole area... don't need tear coupons... how much for the ticket i dunno lor...

if you realize, most of the "summon auntie/ uncle" mostly malays... you think they will summon those cars park outside the mosque every friday meh??? even on double yellow line and obstructing the traffic??? now TP catching ppl who speed... but you see all the QX speed on highway and on small road which maximum speed allowed is only 60km/ hr..... you say lar... where got fair????

baplov SG

haha .... wat can you say ?

anyway ... as long as the MPs do a good job ... i won't mind whether they park illegally or not

who ask we already elect them to be MPs ...

tspg SG

When chinese, hindu temple or churchs hold functions the ppl who attend these functions also park by the side of the roads. As long as they do not post a danger to other road users, we shd be a bit more tolerant of inconvienence caused.

Qkool SG

yalo...if the TP everytime summon those cars park outside the mosque every friday ..we have to build more carpark for them and end up the carpark which normally empty in 6days.

oldbreadstinks SG

i didn't elect them, did you? Laughing

Qkool SG

my area PAP auto win leh..

2004Lancer SG

WHENEVER I SEE TP BMW or SUZUKI/BMW MOTORCYCLES ZOOMED PASSED, I WILL CHASE THEM A LITTLE AND HORN AT THEM...THEN I WILL WIND DOWN WINDOW AND ASK THEM WHY ARE THEY SPEEDING...THEN I WILL LODGE COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM.....USUALLY WHEN WE ARE ASKED, THEY JUST KEEP QUIET.......LAN LAN........

Qkool SG

u wake up already or not?
if true, u consider a hero to me... Mr. Green

chunyong SG

1) NPCOs attend RC meetings so dat they can respond to possible queries regarding law/order from residents. They are there so as to deal with possible feedback regarding strangers lurking in neighbourhood etc...its all part of Community Safety and Security Programme aka CSSP.

2) FRCs speed becos they need to respond to urgent case, u can't expect the car to drive at 60km/h when someone is committing housebreaking at the moment. Don't always think S'pore is crime free and policemen all stay in their NPCs not doing their job...

Qkool SG

heehee finally have one singapore govt spokesman in sgforum Mr. Green answer so pro..

ditzy SG

mai tua kang lah.
