What the heck is wrong with this guys post? He's posting about
Singapore political history. just because you sad cases are whining
about your country doesn't mean "speakers corner" has to always be
about whining about your country. WHy not whine about another
country? Like Britain or US (as we like to do as part of
Anti-whiteisation) or even Japan?
what's wrong with it is that it asks a party that should not be
involved (the government) to do the impossible (catalogue
causalties of an arbitrary wartime massacre)
nobody kept records of Sook Ching... the best reconstruction anyone
has been able to come up with was based on simple
multiplications... how many chinese the japs "processed", how many
a lorry could fit, how many lorries were used and assuming how many
trips it took in one day.
these days, it is convenient to just blame "the japanese", when the
situation is more complex than that... u had the army, the navy,
the infamous kempeitai... and they ALL had different agendas...
even within formations, there were diverse views.
AND what about the collaborators, like the taiwanese and the
koreans? Changi prison, wasn't staffed by 100% japanese guards...
many of them were koreans and they were quite brutal as
well...
I think those Japanese soldiers were bloody savages for what
they did in Malaya, Thailand, Kwai and SIngapore, starving allied
soldiers and harsh treatment. OF all civilised developed nations,
Japan was the last to accept the Geneva Convention, who cares if
they have samurai and sushi if they have no grace? I don't like
them, we were wise to nuke them, its a pity Roosevelt stopped at
Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We should have nuked the entire place, the
bombs dropped in Polynesia should have been dropped in Tokyo and
Hitachi instead.
and u think the Allies were innocent of war crimes? the
Americans knew long before what Auswitz was being used for... they
held off on any actions.
and u think the Russians were perfect gentlemen when they swept
across eastern europe to "liberate" them from the Nazis?
and what about Allied firebombing of German and Japanese cities?
these were not legitimate military targets. most of the victims
were CIVILLIANS.
American firebombing of Japanese cities led to MORE civillian
casualties than the two A-bombs... other cities were so trashed
that they had to drop it on the only two cities that still had
buildings standing to see how well it worked.
and what about unrestricted submarine warfare against Japan by the
Americans? more ships were sunk in this way that by surface vessels
an aircraft put together.
and u think the sailors on the merchantman wore a Japanese imperial
navy uniform??? and what about the starving Japanese civillians?
cities and countrysides were starving because the Americans had
sunk most of the ships headed for Japan.
that's war for u... there are all equally implicated. nobody's
innocent.
I get the feeling you people are Japanese sympathisers,
traitors, just because they have manga and nice porn (which i like
too
) doesn't mean they are our friends so
straightaway! And just because girls here have a thing for the
"jap" look. man i just dislike posers and those japs.
thats just your opinion. mine is just this: does it make any
sense to villianise one side and canonise the other just because u
are ignorant of the other side of the story?
