To me, I hear from many foreigners from the west; that coming
into SIngapore, is akin to stepping into a Clean Room of a wafer
fab plant.
There is no nonsense here, the Law rules with a firm hand, and
business dealings are made with little or no nervous sweat.
But on the other hand, some Ugly SIngaporeans can tarnish what
characteristics or distinguishing flavours Singapore carries in the
eyes & minds of the world.
As a country to do business in, we shine like a beacon in an ocean
of murky corruption. But as a people, I say we are still a long
ways to go. Until such time when we can do without Courtesy
Campagns, Kindness Movements, and such. Meantime, society here
still needs to be guided on how to behave as a human being.
