Yup I can believe that.
But I also think that because we have so many races here, english
muct really be the one language that can allow everyone to
understand one another. U realise that there is really not much
emphasis on Malay or Tamil.
If China is opening up, then when about India when it too becomes
an economic power later? Do we then need 200 people who will become
"very familiar" with India and their culture?
Being bilingual is never enough! Look at our parents' and our
grandparents' generation! can speak so many different languages -
dialects lah, malay lah....we are already way behind them, and
there are still people who think that being monolingual is all that
matters! Being multi-lingual is best, not just english and your own
mother tongue!
