CX,
i went to an international school and consider myself no brat.
perhaps international school kids are somewhat
'different' by virtue of their segregation from your heartlander
kid, but that doesn't automatically make one atas what!
re: int. sch admission: i believe the MOE 'threshold' is 1
non-Singaporean parent in normal cases.. it's true that local kids
don't have the freedom to choose but hey, who can afford their
minds being polluted by whatever political freedom civil rights
whatever ____ they teach in those chao ang moh schools?

if, and i say IF, moe does have explicit guidelines that says
locals CANNOT enter an international school and this is a blatant
bending of that rule, then pple will have just cause to be pissed
even if they never intended to send their kids to one...
BECAUSE rules and regulations are being bent for an influential
figure.
but if its just a matter of being able to pay the fees, then i say
they can knock themselves out... how rich pple spend their money is
none of out business.
its odd because i have a friend who recently came back to Sg after
nearly 1/2 a decade in shanghai... his kids were born in china...
and he came back so that his kids can go to school here
... cos he feels that the international schools there do not offer
a sufficiently rigourous education.
