ANY1 HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH 156 SELESPEED. I HAVE TEST DROVE A MASSA CONSIDERING TO BUY A 2ND HAND (2 YRS OLD).

SINCERE COMMENTS PLEASE

1) ANY PROTENTIAL PROBLEMS HYDRALIC GEARBOX
2) MPI ENGINE
3) SERVICING & PARTS (OTHER THAN SERVICING AT MASSA )

I drove a 156 selespeed a couple of years back.

Fantastic gearbox. if you wanted to find more info about it i'm sure there would be other international forums about the car.

I dun't know about the licensing rules in Singapore, but in Australia, you need a manual car license, because technically the selespeed is a clutchless manual.

thanks...I have actually test driven twice for a spin. it actually don't feel like a 2litre rather a 2.5litre.

I know the gear is jerky at low gear 1 & 2.

I am just concern abt the gearbox as I heard it has radiator problem as the engine keeps heating up due to the small fan coil is insufficient to cool it down.

If your only concern is the radiator.. you can always replace it with one with a thicker core.. You can also replace the thermo fan with one that pushes/pulls more are through the radiator.

Gearbox worries should be covered by the warranty.
