I may be idealistic here, but Hey I would of course desire that
ultimate senario instead of one where , BOTH countries , decides to
go to war, with many lives being lost in the process.
tell me which senario u prefer??? or another one , A cold WAR
happens, No movement what so ever of its citizens between the
states ( a la West/east Berlin)....do u think we all be HAppy
bunnies here in Singapore, ...( cost of food water, e.g) will
skyrocket!!!!, therefore making the cost of living and running a
business, prohibitively high.
all i am saying is, Maybe we should start by thinking of making the
1st outcome ( as our ultimate desire), hey even if we dont get
there, at least if we end up 20% to 30% of the way , its better
than the current situation. I know this is not an ideal world, but
at least we should have a go at it. First , pple in the little red
dot , should STOP underestimating our northern neighbours ( sure We
may be no1 in the ARmy, No1 airport, No1 education yada yadayayada)
but hey them malaysians too have come a long way since merdeka
too
Sure the malaysians have big issues with thier affirmative action
policies,race relations ( still better than a lot of other
multiethnic countries) and also they need to keep the Islamic
hardliners in check., That is not to say singapore has got NO
Issues, ( GLCs,government attempts at social engineering, the Nanny
state)
..No one is perfect!!!,
