hi, this is my 1st post. so go easy on me.
my family owns a mid 99 lancer mivec auto. bought from
C&C
it's a nice car and all, but the power is damm slack. what my
understanding is that there's been some restrictions put in at the
import stage to tune the power down. but i can't quite seem to find
someone who can tell me exactly what was done.
problem now is that it does like 320km on a full tank(60L). i mean
for the reserve light to come on. and it's not like it's heavy
driving or anything. it's just simple city driving, abit of e-ways.
rpm seldom if ever, pass 3K.
had a few things done to it tho, but it's all seemed to help
consumption rather than hinder it.
high flow air filer
aftermarket exhaust (muffler only, stock extractors/headers)
removed cat con
and that fuel thingy(like broquet)
there's some speculation on my part that maybe the headers r half
blocked like in some bikes. or something was fucked with in the
actual engine.
so i'm hoping to see if any1 can tell me what is it they did so
that i can justify the petrol comsumption for the
performance.
