I do know a little abt your enquiries and hopefully my information
will help.
The transfer of 2nd hand car will cost (estimated) between 700-1200
maybe. Insurance will really have to depend on your driving
experiences and which insureance company u take. From experience,
NTUC will cost more. Maybe go for others like INDIA & NANYANG,
will cost cheaper. With 5 yrs experiences or more, the insurances
should not cost more than $1000 for a 1000cc car. Rd tax is
cheaper. With the revised, should cost less than $300 for half a yr
without the rebate of $100.
A few popular 1000cc u can see in our current 2nd hand car market
are Hyundai Atos, Nissan March, Daihatsu Sirion, Suzuki Swift, just
to name a few few. Of the 4 listed, March is slightly more
expensive. The rest will put you in a range of abt 35k to 40k for a
4 yrs old car.
