Here's a scenario, which a friend of mine happens to be
in:
His father passed away in 2002 from heart failure, and because my
friend admitted his father into a private hospital, the hospital is
now after him for outstanding bills incurred over a period of 3
years.
His father also did not manage to make out a Will, and hence, his
estates and whatever monies, are inaccessible until proper legal
procedures to obtain administrator grant is completed.
Meanwhile, the hospital hounds hime for FULL PAYMENT, IMMEDIATELY -
to an amount of almost 10K!
What do you guys think? Shouldn't hospitals look into the financial
ability of the person who admits a patient besides just being the
next of kin? Does it look like a trap?
