accident .. how now ?

hey guys .. newbie driver here. need some advice. today at bout 5.30pm .. i had an accident while turning into bugis junction. this is what happened... i signalled left, and my lane was a go straight/turn left lane(lane 3). then i slowed down and i saw that the left turn i was going to make is leading to the loading/unloading bay... so i slowed down even more(all the while leaving my signal on). not wanting to hold up traffic, (traffic condition was pretty heavy), i decided to make the left turn first and think bout anything else later. suddenly a lorry came from the second lane(lane 2) and cut into my lane, breaking the right lights and signal, (he was turning into the same turn i was turning and his lane was a go straight only lane). and he says its my fault !!!!! i feel its totally not my fault.. i feel its cos i p-plate that's y he want to eat me... dunno personal feeling. anyway, how now ??? both of us cant get into a mutual agreement... what should i do now ? please advise ... thanks....

p/s: the car isn't mine... third party insurance. his lorry no damage except for some rubber thing dropped out.

first of all, one very basic thing...
who knock who first?
if that lorry knock u first, then its definitely his fault...
u said ur right lights n signal were damaged.. i supposed the impact was on the right side of the car.. if that is so, its def the lorry's fault...
send ur vehicle for inspection to let them determine who's fault is also possible... juz directly claim against his insurance if that driver has..but muz have his details.. liddat he also LL, no choice unless he got strong case against u..

thanks for the advise.. u mean i can directly claim against his insurance ? he knocked my front headlight (the right one) and dented the right part of the front also... erm, how do i go about everything? izzit go to IDAC approved workshop or something ?? i go to his insurance company and directly report izzit ??? w/o him knowing ???

can..
just go n report the accident to the company that the vehicle u drove is insured wif n fill in the GAI form n state that u are claiming against another party.. the insurance company will handle the rest... that driver wont have to noe.. but u muz noe his personal particulars and the licence plate of the lorry
