Heres a thought: The government can start letting Singaporeans
run and manage our own lives by letting grown up,
mature Singaporeans decide when or if they want to get
married, and when and how many children they want based to their
wishes and how many they can afford. Rather the force-feeding us
"Get married, have kids" exhortations ad nauseum and making single or
married-but-childless Singaporeans feel like they're
less-than-worthy citizens
They want to let us settle our lives on certain things, and leave
us to our own devices on others, according to their
terms? Get real, Mr Khaw. The government needs to do some
growing-up itself.
Another case of the government wanting their cake, and eating it
too?
