Hi,
I am a layman when it comes to law.
However, recently I came to know of the libel law and it's
oppressive nature. From what I know the onus is placed on the
defendant to prove that he is innocent and will be pronounced
guilty if he fails to completely convince the judge.
That this law is adopted from the Brits who were against some
political expression or something like that.
Nonetheless, I do not see the rationale for this law. Am I missing
soomething?
