Can the Singapore that we know today survive without chaos or a
hung system, if ever an Opposition Party is elected to form the
next Government ?
Is the system that is in place today, a "politically blind" system
that is not loyal to any political party ?
Will the next Government that is not acceptable to the "First
Family" receive the " Full Co-operation " of every Government and
semi-Government agencies, including the extensive web of Government
Linked Companies that include the Temasek Inc ?
With members of the Ruling Party, and family members, sitting on
the Board of Directors of every GLC and government agencies, can we
depend on them to be co-operative to a New Government ELECTED by
SINGAPOREANS, BUT is Unacceptable to the present Ruling Party and
the "First Family" ?
Is the present system transparent enough in the full accounting of
National Assets and Reserves ?
With the passing of SM LKY, Second or Third Generation Political
Leaders, and in the event that there are no further members of the
"First Family" to take the lead role in Singapore Politics, and the
Ruling Party should splinter, will the present Singapore System
hold ?
The system that we have in place today does not give any confidence
to long term political stability, if one sees the transition of
power in Taiwan as an example - when the "First Family" of Chiang
Kai Shek has no further capable sons left to continue its grip on
the Kuomintang and Politics in Taiwan.
The Opposition Party that won the election had a turbulent first
three years trying its best to dismantle the Kuomintang grip in
every facet of Taiwanese society via all the different Kuomintang
controlled Military, Police, Civil Service, Government Agencies and
Government Linked Companies.
Do we not see the chaotic challenge that the present Singapore
System pose to our long term future ?

of a loyal Senior Civil Servant, who clearly spoke his mind in the
interest of Singapore.
