Censorship just cracks me up

For those of you who watched animatrix you'd probably understand.

Now, i've recently heard that there is a portion in renaissance part 1( a few seconds, i could be wrong on this) which involves police tearing the clothes off a female android then begin beating the crap out of "her".

Ok, now we understand that the censorship board thinks:
1. it's ok for us to see 3d humans wearing a g-string wielding samurai swords and systematically stripping each other.
2. It's ok for us to see tanks crushing androids(Tiananmen) and executing them(probably somalia)

So, it is my conclusion that the censorship board prefers massacre and cold blooded murder over violence to a robot made to look like a female.

Hell, they even kept the part where the machine torn the poor pilot screaming for help out of his battle suit and humans cut in half and the back of their head removed to reveal their brains. They didn't mind the naked humans that were attached like poultry in a butcher shop.

Yet they are concern over violence to a female andriod. Why is this?

I believe i just boosted the online sales of non edited animatrix.

i never believed in censorship very much.. although must acknowledge it is a necessary evil.

cos in the end, who watches the films and decides to cut scenes? the censors? so r we saying these people are above us all and will not be tainted by the contents of the film that are supposed to taint the rest of us? wonder wonder.. or is my logic wrong?

anyway since censors are still humans, and prob humans using a certain set of guidelines to choose wat to keep and wat to cut, there will surely be flaws in the system.

I remember Schindler's List was restricted because of the shower room scene, not being of the 'acceptable' age disallowed me to watch it in the cinema. I was baffled by that ruling, the movie was historical and that scene was integral to the recount of the Holocaust, not some theatrical spice of Spielberg.

To me, the guidelines were certainly flawed then.

The people who work at the censorship board just anyhow do one… according to the whims and fancy of themselves and their best friends…. you wanna know why? I just downloaded the 9 serie compilation in Xvid Format from KaZaa, I can see why that scene was censored in Singapore. I myself thought it was rather kinky though Mr. Green

Censorship in Singapore is more like a knee jerk reaction to a scene/topic, without any coherent well thought out process or justification. This comes from a closed system that bestows authority to a few people to work things out for everyone, without taking in any outside discussion or analysis. I’ve long since given up on trying to understand them – because there is nothing to understand.
