While ppl have hoped that SARS was a low level disease that
would go away, others have been shocked at the speed and audacity
of this pestilence.
Yet while there seems to be a major virus every 20 or so years, it
is even more disappointing that ppl as a whole are not helping to
contain the spread.
MInd you, these ppl are not uneducated ones dying from ebola, but
literate and smart ppl who constantly break quarrantine, regardless
of the consequences.
I started a post long ago as to why the TP needed to enforce a law
regarding the rear seat belt. Now i truly understand the mentality
of our locals. They need a stern warning or a fine b4 they take
their responsibility seriously. I dun blame the police for this. I
blame our ppl's dependence on the government for a guiding hand all
these years, that light in the mist to lead you and bring you forth
from danger.
How sad to realise that then that after all these years, ppl still
need to look to our govt for salvation, unable to find the yellow
brick road on their own. Their pathetic dependence on spoon feeding
disgusts me.
Simple things like instructions cannot be followed? Egotistical ppl
who need as many as 4 opinions b4 convincing theirselves that
they're infected? Quarrantine runaways? Families that disregard
their own safety and the safety of others by wandering off instead
of waiting for proper evacuation ambulances to ferry them?
What has a nation like Singapore, a nation that prides itself in
our glorified manpower, come to?
