Bad points for NS.
the guys are behind time when they get out...
other than that, whether NS is considered a waste of time is up to
the individual. He can spend his 2 or 2 1/2 yrs complaining, or he
can choose to open his mind to new things and have fun while at eat
though physically stressful.
For me, i don't think NS is a waste of time, i have learnt to
communicate with strangers, met more people i wouldn't have met if
i stayed in school or cooped up at home, learnt how important it is
to get a proper job i like or how important study is...
Before NS i hated studying... but now that i've been through it,
mixed with the Regulars, the uncles (warrants) who guided me and
talked to me about the outside world compared to the SAF, i've
learnt a whole lot more.
Basically i have nothing to complain about NS... I've been having
fun in it since my enlistment.
