I'm not from a combat engineer unit - but I will always remember
and admire their discipline and efficiency. I had a chance, a long
time ago to train with the boat crews from 35SCE on a coastal
assualt exercise. I remember quite clearly how they man-handled the
boats and the outboard motors when preparing for the exercise as
well as after the exercise. Even a lance-corporal at that time, can
control a section.
The rest of my company just stood still, silently watching them
with amazement.
