NO.....
because... the trial MIGHT and could end up putting ISLAM on trial
rather then the JI terrorist... since the JI believes that their
actions are grounded from the islamic teachings.... Such a trial
would end up splitting the muslim community as well as placing the
malays and their religion on the spotlight....
This could lead to controversy and suspicions.... and thus not good
for national unity... as putting ISLAM on trial effectively pits
the national court against the islamic faith.... BAD BAD thing to
do...
secondly... ISA is to act as deterrent... a giant stick.... its
deterrence values could be reduced if furture offenders think that
there is a way out of ISA's grip through the legal system....
thats my opinion... so my answer is NO...
