i think its not just women that marry late. it takes two hands
to clap. basically women and men prefer to marry late now, with the
most common reason being to pursue their careers and have financial
security first before committing themselves to starting a
family.
the blame cannot be placed solely on women's shoulders, since no
woman is going to get married even if they want to, if no man wants
to.
as for the financial incentives that the government offers, i think
that only helps to ease one aspect of the burden that starting a
family causes. they're other issues like the stress and time
involved, etc, which has been increased ten-fold with the
ever-increasing competitiveness in the education system here.
