i know that the malay are now been treated like the terrorist reponsible to the WTC attack other country even burn muslim mosque but please understand that malays should not be held blame for the attack. the terrorist is a small group of BLACKSHEEPS in the malay community even though they all pratice ISLAM but the terrorist mindset is different from the other malay communnity, they are extremist who believe in violences.

i am a chinese i dont help the malays because i am same race as them but i think that they were been treated unfairly by attacking the malay community who are inncocent. every race, religon have their own BLACKSHEEPS regradless of the races.

we all want a peaceful world and that is why we should even stand close together and get rid of those BLACKSHEEP who have spoil the image of our religon regradless which you are!!!! malays are very friendly ppl and i personally know lots of them, they are all my good friend.

funny thing i dont seem to recall hearing much condemnations from the local muslim community... in fact.... i have seen them smirking and smile gleefully at the americans suffering...

To be honest... many muslims including those in singpaore believe and accept terrorism as a form of warfare that should be recognised if not legitimised.... that is the view i get from them when i spoke to them regarding terrorism..

their view is that.... other then terrorism.... what other means does the oppressed muslims have against a superpower with carriers and nukes??

no i did not say in singapore......... if you read tthe newspaper i not sure when but they say that in austrlia malays mosque were burn down so is in america........ you are able to differentiate but others may not

Please note that Malays are a race and Islam is a religion. Theres no such thing as a Malays' Mosque. It might be built by malays but its for use for all races. I guess the reaction that the Muslims (followers of Islam) get is quite understandable seeing how people do not think rationally when they are too emotional. However, like most other races, the Malays opinions on this matter differs from each individual. Some people (including other races) even believe that US brought this upon themselves as they were too 'nosey' and imposed their powers on other country. Oh yah..if you saw yesterdays news..you might see that in the Church President Bush was attending, an Imam ( equivalent of a priest in Islam) made the sermon. So i think the Islamic stand against terrorist there is quite obvious.

Again you display a blatant show of ignorance by assosciating the religion of the terrorist with Islam. As being repeated several time in news and basically everywhere, there is a difference with Islamic extremists and normal Muslims. Islam does not condone these actions. You are so sceptical and prejudiced that you choose to block things that you do not want to see. If we really inspect these tragedy carefully, we will realise that this war is not just a war on terrorists but also a war against prejudice. Again, I must stress that although I support Palestin's cause, I may not support their actions. Do I support their celebrations? Of course not. Are those people reflective of the whole Palestine population? Is one camera's view reflective of everything? I never said they were mad ( must be psychic), but I do know their actions veer from the teachings of Islam. Their leader and the Islamic leaders denounce the attack and grieve with the Americans too. Why would their leader give blood, if he's so glad that people died?

I'd like to see things settled at the diplomatic table. I can never know the pain and the suffering that the Israelis endured but I do know that I want their pain to stop. However, this should not be through violent means as I do not support violent actions from BOTH countries.

Quote me a passage from Qu'ran that encourages this behaviour. Islam does not teach this people to do the things they did. If Islam teaches people to be evil, then why is it followed by so many people and is the fastest growing religion in US? So Islam is not the one that needs changing.

The people there are war-torn. They have lost their families and are out for revenge. Then more people lose their lives and more people want revenge. They teach their children not to see people first as people but as Jews or American. Islam did not teach this. The fact is Islam isnt like a race. Just because your parents are Muslim does not make you a Muslim. You have to follow its teachings to be a Muslim.

So should we punish and kill these people?? Of course not. They are led astray by the terrorists who take advantage of their hatred and anger and thus the ones that should be punished are the terrorists and not the whole Middle East. That is why their leader did what they did. Not because they are afraid of the US but more to set an example to their community on what is the right thing to do.

Hate, violence and prejudice stems from misinformation and misconceptions which are the tools of the terrorists. The image of Islam is tarnished when terrorists assosciate their activities with it. Those are the reasons why I'm all-out for the extermination of the terrorists. Hopefully, this violent cycle of hate that has spanned for decades would stop.

I agree with the both of you on SOME points. One thing is, yes, Some of the local muslim's in Singapore "seem" supportive of the WTC incidents. When asked for opinions, some answered "They (US) had it coming." Some blatantly say , "They(US) deserved it for...... " and on and on. I find such answer repulsive and uncalled for. I also sense a danger than the possiblity of a minority of the local Muslim community harboring potential terrorists.

However, I do not condemn the whole Muslim community locally. It is not right to do so.

What if buddhist and taoist fight like christians and muslims? The only impression I have is that some preachers are too extreme and they have preach the wrong 'words of God' to their followers. Therefore such brainless bastards should be branded as cult leaders regardless of their religion.

As for Singaporean muslims, we must not outcast them or even treat them as supporters of terrorist. Singaporeans must look into their citizenship instead of religion. If this 'new war' turn into an religious war, Singapore will be in deep shit...

Just to let you know I dun support the Taliban or any form of extremists. They have some really barbaric laws and they dun treat women rite.

I agree its hard to differentiate as theres not much media on them. You cant really see things from their perspective. Politics and religion is really a bad combo. My opinion is that the Islamic leaders and scholars dun get much support from the people as the people dun see them doing anything much..while they think that the terrorists are risking their lives for them. In that sense theres really very little things going on that actually concerns religion but more of politics.

I still think the Palestinians dancing around was a biased perspective. If a camera was in a backstreet boys concert, you cant just deduce that all teenage girls like the backstreet boys can you? What about those in their homes? Plus the children there are probably ignorant and just want to celebrate. They are afterall just children.

I can assure that no Muslims think that the civilians deserve their death but there are people that think that US should share part of the blame becuz of the attack.
