I am saddening by your demands for money while serving your
NS.
My personal advice is that if money means so much to you, to not
hestitate to sign on as a regular in the SAF.
NS is a process of life for majority of all male Singaporeans......
Just because the country has been peaceful for 55 years citizens
has started to become conceited and take peace for granted.
Unfortunately my friend, have you look around us? How the political
situation has developed over the pass 2 years? Have you seriously
think what would have S'pore become if we do not have the SAF and
rely on a foreign power to defend S'pore? Do you think our peace
and properity was built overnight? Have you forgotten the numerous
threats in M'sia to cut off over water supply? Have you forgotten
Indonesia sending agents to S'pore to sabotage of city state.
Next time before you post any negative views on Mindef and SAF
please consider that without these 2 insitutions you will not be
able to sleep peacefully everynight!
Money is not everything in life. The allowance paid by Mindef is
suffice to last you a month as food and alot of basic stuff are
provided. What you need to do is to take training seriously. It
might save you one day.
Please note that I have nothing against you. I am speaking from the
point of view of a NSmen.
