Recently saw Jimmy Ye in real person somewhere in Singapore and surprisingly i dun really know much about him but he sure look gorgeous …. so can anyone at all pls tell me more about this lawyer-turned-singer, Jimmy Ye … thanks i dun mind if u can give me his pic too ^-

MoodyBluz SG

Hmm... dont recall tat he is still in the showbiz. Anyway i was listening to his cd yesterday. The 2nd album is not bad really.

Shame though his voice is pretty weak or else wif his reasonable song writing skills he might last longer....

xiaosagua SG

really hope he will one day get back into the showbiz ^- i think i really miss out a lot when he is still in the showbiz …. i dun really have his cd but think i will go and get one during this weekend but dunno whether they are still selling or not …... been surfing for his info thru the net but seem like he dun have a fans website ler …... hard to get his info

lindgal SG

remember he was one of the first few male artists from singapore during kit and mavis that time .... yah, and he also acted in this tcs drama before (as a singer) beside cynthia koh ... i liked his wo ai ni bu shi ai ke bie ren kan or something like that...
and many of the songs he wrote for others also, like jeff chang's tai xiang ai ni and peng ling's xiao xiao wan yi... (haha, not bad ah, i can remember so much from a time when i was still so young Smile )

Can't remember the title of the show, but I think Cynthia Koh acted as a fan who likes Jimmy Ye? That song in the show I think is "Wo Zong Shi Ting Ni Shuo".

I remember he sang a duet with Kit Chan before, as well as one of the songs which went up the 933 chart - "Elizabeth".

MoodyBluz SG

Hmm... is he still in the music industry?

Would i be Happier if i let it All out?!

lindgal SG

can't remember the title also but the show was also about sushi and some culinary stuff... and i think mc king acted as jimmy ye's assistant (as in manager maybe)... cynthia koh started out as a fan who made posters and everything for him in the fan club but later became his girlfriend...

lindgal SG

dunno how come these bits and pieces about jimmy ye keep coming back to me? after i posted my previous post, suddenly remembered another thing about him.
he and another guy (can't remember who) staged a mandarin musical ("December rain") together. both of them wrote the songs to it, starring xiang yun, king kang and hong hui fang's brother...
i remember in an interview with both of them they were both laughing at each other for being so "crazy" to give up their respective careers for music..

Zilchster SG

Remember another singer called Jiu Jian or not?

MoodyBluz SG

Jiu Jian???

Yup i remember him. But cant remember his composition though. He is more into writing newspaper articles now rite?

Zilchster SG

Also doing deejay hosting!!!

MoodyBluz SG

But on not so popular channels rite???

Well i remember tat pple praise him for his lyrics rite???

pardon mi if i m wrong.

Jimmy Ye now writes songs for some of the most popular singers like William So and Jacky Cheung.

Of the 2, I will safely say that Jimmy Ye composes much better than he can sing.

Off topic, but Singapore has been producing some of the best composers, arrangers and producers lately. Some names you will probaby see in the fine prints of chinese albums are Jimmy Ye, Goh Kheng Long, Sydney Tan and John Quek... Dick Lee too.

Zilchster SG

What are the chinese names of john quek and sidney tan?

MoodyBluz SG

Hmm... sadly S'pore can onli produce gd male composers n famous female singers.....

When can this trend b broken so tat can have famous male singer n more female well known composers...

I think I remember the title of the series, it's Zui Xin Yi Zhu .. yea, it's about Cynthia Koh pursuing her idol Jimmy Ye, if I'm not wrong Ivy Lee was on the show too ? Gotta open my record book of TCS series to know the exact everything hehe ... I enjoyed that series all rite .. and I liked Jimmy Ye's Zui Xin album ... and wo ai ni bu shi gei bie ren kan also a great song .. haven't heard anything on him for a looooong long time ... I'm not S'porean so .. Smile

have a great day !

blackhair SG

he is a slut. period

Zilchster SG

Hey, don't call people sluts...did he offend you or what?
