Although many of us don’t listen to j-pop or speak Jap., I still
encourage you guys to buy J-CDs. The sales in Singapore are not
very encouraging.(Excluding that of Ayumi Hamasaki) Do try Utada
Hikaru. She is a really good singer worth listening to. For those
who don’t know who she is, she’s a sweet 18 year old American-born
Japanese R&B singer with a very good voice. More importantly,
this talented girl writes all her songs. Her debut Japanese album,
First Love, sold a whooping 9 million worldwide. Her second album,
Distance has been out since March. She is definitely not one of
those squeaky Jap. girls. Do support her!
