sorry, just to add on. Sng's views, i do agree for some like in
other topics abt wang pei rong lah...etc. BUt, this time, i dun
really quite agree Stella is better than Jay. I mean, the SG
spirit, ya, well, let it be there, but, in the sense of album
quality, there is still some difference. Ok,
i dun let it become personal comments, but,
since the award is decide by our media pple and some pros, i can
see that the general local critics for Stella album isnt that good
loh. It only received average comments from the chinese papers i
see, like Friday weekly, Zaobao and I zhou kan. AND, Jay is being
recognised by many many DJ, and reporters and oso in other country.
I mean, is like....the good name that Jay holds is quite great
that, if the award dun goes to him, it would be weird. (provided
yanzi isnt in lah) I would rather compare Jay with freya or chun
jia. Anyway, personally i dun really enjoy sg's music award loh.
THe thing is, the winning list is...somehow expected loh and
actually the best part of the award is more of,who is nominated den
who wins. Bcos, it is always more diff. to guess who is in den who
win. And 1 more, i m still puzzled that, y cant we haf zui jia zuo
qu and best lyrics but only best local zuo qu and lyrics. I mean,
after so many yrs, i tink is time to haf this award back loh.
Hmm...last thing is, dun get too biased for local singers loh. I
mean, we oreadi haf 3 awards for local talents oreadi, lets make it
more regional for the rest of the awards.
STella is a singaporean doesnt really make her the best newcomer
when we can see that her work still can haf a bigger room of
improvement and haf a larger variety. At the same time, Tanya
singing for national day, dun mean that, ya, give her an award. I
think the local music talents who r working behind r the ones who
need more gu li loh.
