How to politely tell a fren she is not welcomed at my place

Hi,I have been through the same situation before. I understand but best to voice out and make it sound sharp and in a good tone.

I recently got my own place.

For the past few weeks, i had a close fren who initiated coming over for sleepovers during weekends (sat and sun)

at that time, i thot why not??? should be fun... So i agreed...

the first weekend was a novelty, and we talk about every thing under the sun...

the second weekend was still good as we have a movie marathon...

the third weekend was getting abit sian, but i still entertain her...

the fourth weekend was tiresome and it showed on my face (she dun get the hint)

the fifth weekend??? I am finding excuses to avoid her sleepover but relented cos dun want to hurt her feelings

To my horror now, she indicated she like to come over from fri nites onwards now (total 3 days!!!) so she can have more time at my place... (Help)

my fren can be a great buddy... But the last few weeks of sleepovers really tires me out (small annoyances and conflicts start to fester) and i really like some alone time to myself...

I have tried becoming unavailable and showed nonverbal hints to get her to not visit so frequently... but she doesnt seemed to get it...

what can i do now beside losing my temper and telling her bluntly not to come every weekend?

any advice is greatly welcomed.

Hello! Do not lose your temper. Losing your temper means losing your friend.

Few advices with consequences goes as follows:

1) Inform her that your parents and siblings are coming over for the weekend so it might be quite troublesome for you to entertain her and it might cause inconvenience as your parents would be sleeping in the wee hours. In the case that she might be comfortable with your parents around since you guys have been BFFs for too long, just tell her nicely "next weekend ba". To be nice, you always have to put yourself in a uncomfortable position.

2) Your group of friends are coming over. These group of friends better be those that she don't know so as to make it a better white lie.

3) Tell her you're going to need rest and time alone as you have a stressful week. She might think she might help by being there, but just insist on the "alone time".

4) Unless she thick skin like really cannot tahan already, just tell her, I have my own place so that I can have some chill time myself and not always with anyone during the weekends.

Unless your friend is a really kuku person, she better get the hint.

There's no need to be passive aggressive.

Most people are bad at taking hints.

Just let her know you prefer to spend time with her outside.

Enjoy her company over dinner, shopping, or a good chick flick.

After that, say goodbye. Let her know you appreciate her company and would like to go home and have a good night rest.

I wondering ，she may be having some issues at home, so she's trying to escape some unpleasant happenings. better to resolve the problem than keep running away from it.
