Please try to understand what a PPO entails before anyone here
is telling her about it.
One do not need to engage a lawyer if it is a PPO.
One will be advised and counselled prior to it.
A police report is not necessary.
Was there any violence ?
Please do not advise PPO if you do not understand it.
It is easy to apply. That is not the end of the story. There is
still alot of follow ups that one will need to comply with. It will
be very stressful and taxing.
If the respondent deny what was said in the PPO, it will be
contested and there will be more headaches and stress.
When one thinks that it's all over after the end of hearing, it
is not.
One would still need to attend scheduled counselling from the
court.
It will never end.
Please do not encourage such, if you do not understand what it
entails.
Finally, one needs to be 21 and above to be able to "leave the
family home". It is not 18 or 19 or 20.
Yes, if you decide so, your parents can report to the police and
you must return home.
You should approach the Family Service Centre within your
community for help and not a PPO for help.
Do not see yourself as an odd one . There are many more others
and you are not alone.
No matter what, always believe that your parents are trying
their best to provide for you. It may not be the same as what you
envisage. Never envy others.
