Dear Agony Aunt,

Recently my friend was at my house and logged into her email account on my laptop. When she left, she had forgotten to log out. Just as I was logging her out, I saw that my ex-boyfriends name had come up on her inbox. At the time I knew that it was wrong and a breach of her privacy to look at the messages, but the curiosity got the better of me. To my surprise, there was over 300 emails which had started from the time my relationship with him had begun and after, all the way till the present. The messages contained constant flirting between the two of them, there were so many and neither of them ever held back. In one message he had told her that he cheated on me one weekend and she told him that it would be 'their secret', although the messages didn't indicate that anything had ever happened between them, the flirting took me by huge surprise. What I did was wrong but I'm not sure what to do now. She is my best friend, I often confided in her and told her how I was very much in love with him and of the pain that I had felt when the relationship had ended, so I don't know if I can ever look at her as the same person anymore. I'm open to any advice on this :(

Well, arn't you glad you found out and is no longer the ignorant girlfriend of a scum.

You really should thank your "friend" for letting you know about this.. being aware is better than being in the dark the whole time.

I'm pretty sure, the "enlightenment" that your boyfriend is a scum does shows it wasn't your fault the relationship doesn't work out, you can stop blaming yourself now. So your "frenemy" actually did you a big favor.

Tell her next time she wants to share a boyfriend.. just say so.. no need to sneak behind your back like a mouse.

Tell her you assume when she didn't log out of her email on your laptop.. it was a discreet invite to share/view her emails, so you gladly partake in her generosity and you are glad you did.

Good that you ditch your ex boyfriend.................move on the world is very big and beautiful that you can see and enjoy and there are much better things to do then to attached to the past..........but just keep your girl friend if you want to.

U loved the wrong person. There are many people for u to love. Just take this as a lesson and open your eyes when before u go into another r/s. Most of the times, girls trust handsome guys with a honeyed mouth too easily and think he is the one. Its so vain.
