Once you get the final judgement for the divorce, there will be
another "trial" for the division of matrimonial assets. It is not
up to your partner to say what he or shes wants, it is up to both
of you to agree, or put up your case through lawyers if an
agreement cannot be reached. This will go to family court and the
judge will make a judgement. Your agreement is subjected to
prevailing law and conditions. Like if your partner can't qualify
to own the HDB by him/herself, your agreement to let him/her have
it means nothing and the judge will ask you two to sell and divide
accordingly.
