Asking for friend who is a concerned parent..
His son is in secondary 2 this year but is addicted to internet
gaming. Spends most of his time just playing online games etc.. and
plays truant. Changed school several times because of that..
Btw hes a PRC, his parents couldnt control him in China so send
him to Singapore to study (in the hope of controlling him)
The guardian shut off his internet connection but he just goes
to internet cafes and borrows money from friend to spend there..
Sometimes he would just spend the night outside sleeping at
internet cafe. In the end, the guardian is forced to turn back the
internet just so that at least he won't spend nights outside..
Can anyone recommend a center to treat this form of gaming
addiction in Singapore? Or is there any "military school" type like
those in the US or China where the child studies under strict
supervision/discipline?
