I go to family svc centre they only help me write letter to hdb. And look for rm to rent. Dear fellow sporean, I have try all my mean to look for a roof but to rent a common rm is nt possible as tat a total of 4 of us. Some owner either put down the phone or rise the rent amt to 1000+ for a single room. Buy from open market so expensive need hard cash 10 to 20 thousnd.

u cannot go to HDB to rent room you must go to private apartment......along Geylang there are old apartment they rent out room. U can temporary find a place. Some apartment they allow u to cook....

but u might have to share with foreign worker.

Go to MP oso useless. I go until 2 MP but none can help. The worst part is my address now is worker party ard so PAP MP wont see me. In the end i use a frenz ic to register myself to see the 2nd MP. The MP promise to get a HDB officer to interview me but turn out to be the same as the first MP i go. Recieve a letter frm hdb say a lot of rubbish then say i cannot apply.

The worst part is HDB only gt 1 officer. Whatever i do she will be the one replying to the mail. And for so long she still don understand im gg homeless.

If you tell the comcare, the MP, the HDB things about yourself like you tell us here, it no wonder that you are told to go to Changi Beach.

You must speak the truth plainly and not try for sympathy. Then people can help you. Otherwise they'll be pissed off.

No i nv lies im telling them all truth. I not asking for money. My husband and i can look for money ourself. We just need the gov to let us have a roof we have CPF we buy. If they can only rent us a unit I can pay. But everyone is thinkin like im am gg to ask the gov to feed my family. NO, I fully understand in spore there are so many ppl worst then me. I nv say im poor but i am not rich either. I just cannot wait any longer as once my in law sell away the hs i will be hmless. gg back to my parent place will be my last choice. And as a wife how am i not suppose to think for my husband. Where he wan to slp after wk? How is he gg to see his own child? No matter wat he is still my husband. He use to treat me very bad but ever since the last time he had change and i forgiven him. But thing just like to go out of hand.

But wat im trying to say is Singapore had become a very expensive place to stay. and even family planning have to start as early as 3 yrs before u can have ur own hs. I have to say with 2 small kids in hand doing everything is so difficult. Of coz if i really have no choice stay with foreign worker i oso muz accept it right? But i just worry for my 2 gal. If i am alone i wont have post this the most me and my husband wk abit harder rent a rm outside. But now wat we earn must buy pampers muz buy milk left with tat abit of money if still pay renter we wont hv anything to eat le. If i can pay a few hundreds then is ok but owner now is asking me like a thousand. Wher to get?

Hi StressOut, maybe your last option is your best option.

Stay at your parent house. But...your hubby need to give your parent some kind of allowances (that allownaces are for looking after the kids and meal and pocket money).

Then, you too go and look for a job, office or factory doesnt matter as it will help your hubby alot too.

Then, go look for your mp again. Both of you, not you alone.

Ask your hubby to talk to the mp, ask them to look for 1 or 2 room flat. I am sure there are many especially around Redhill or Bukit Ho Swee area.

Agreed with Trouble, dont give up, if both (hubby and you) are willing to work and willing to give the best to your kids, there will be ways that your mps will help you. They wont leave you, your hubby and kids to die on the street.

Do work hard, dont give up, have faith on yourself and sunny day is ahead of you. Go for it.

I thank alot for both your reply. We actually just married after my birthday early this yrs. I don noe how much i love him or maybe i don even noe wat love. Is just tat if he still care for me and my child still need him then we just be together lor. I noe, everyone asking me y i will choose my husband when he cant even give me the most basic life and must go thur kana say by his family until like don worth a cent like tat. As old pple said : Your past life owe him the present life. This is faith, you are repaying back to him in the present life.

Same goes to your hubby.

Dont dwell about it anymore, look forward, live with your parents for the time being. Remember to give your parents allowances. And go look for jobs (part time or full time), once everything settle down, go look for your mp again (both of you) and ask for help to look for 2 - 3room hdb flat.

love can be maintained after marriage. but youmustundertsand that now you have kids to look after. renting a small place (even one room only) or stayiong with parents are the best option.s you donlt need to be highly educated to need to solve your financial problems. a calculator with basic plus minus division and mulipltycation function can hel ypo work out the expenses. the sum that are compulsaary should be side aside every month, even if it means cannot even go out and enjoy life have fun. pub bills, home telephone bills, tv, basic internet (if really need to), meals cookings, reserves for the unforsee (child or parents fall sick) all these caneasily be shown and calculated on paper. if you can afford this amount now then excess you can save or maybe buy a little luzuries for yourself. once you help your slef, can also go work, other things you can approach MPs. when they see that you are trying they will help, esp on subsidiary of child's education. get in laws and relatives to help too, but don;t overdo and misuse their sympathy. forget about buying your own flat as of now. yyour cpf ordinary may not even be secure or enough to pay for the instalments even if its the cheapet 3rm.
